My bookkeeping path started in my family’s plumbing business after 9/11, when I stepped in as office manager - they needed help and I needed work. I learned by doing—translating work tickets into customer invoices, entering payroll, posting and paying bills, taking customer payments, and entering deposits —and I saw how clean,accurate books helped guide real decisions that impacted real people. That opened my eyes.
I moved into the nonprofit world and kept learning on the job—fund accounting, grant tracking, board reporting, audits, and building simple processes that helped my co-workers stay focused on the mission. Those experiences taught me to pair accurate numbers with practical context leaders can actually use.
Now, with almost fifteen years of experience as a full-time bookkeeper, I bring that sleeves-rolled-up mindset to every client. Not only do I understand the “how”, but I can explain the “what.” The goal is reflected in my firm’s name: move you and your organization forward with clear numbers, better understanding, and a partner in your corner.
